If we are dropping events due to unreliable water levels then we will have to drop everything for which we can't control the water. Taken this to extreme and - Tees, of course, would have to go because of tidal issues - Grandtully water levels can drop dramatically in the course of the day and even...

You can check different education authorities via http://www.direct.gov.uk/en....4016103 Our Easter holidays are from 21 Mar (Good Friday) to 9th April inclusive, but many West London/Berkshire authorities are 6th to 20th April. I suspect that almost all schools will still get the Good Friday and E...

Thanks for making the effort John - not always easy dealing with officials.

I confess to being confused though as none of the place names mean much to me. I get the impression that we should be OK if we are approaching the site from Harrogate - is this true to your knowledge?

Shepperton was on 6 gates and 2 side spills this evening. Lovely big waves for those who like such things but not really div 4 territory. Some inventive club members have come up with a course that skirts the edge so should be ok for div 3s, but the jury is still out on div 4s. Keep watching the bo...

You remember last year when there was so little water that we had to cancel the div 1. Well, with all the current rain there is a possibility that we may not be able to run the div 4 safely due to too much water. No decisions have been taken as yet but we are watching the river level and talking to...

Fine to have people printing them IF they print them onto reasonably thick card.

There are one or two on the circuit who use a rather flimsy card which can be a bit of a pain, especially if they get damp.

For those competitors in the lower divisions the misjudged 50 can be just as important as for those in P/1/selection. I've seen youngsters almost in tears because they've felt that a (perceived) undeserved 50 in div 4 has prevented promotion. So I don't think that anyone should assume this is only ...

I have finally managed to resolve my problem with slasoft by a complicated route involving printing to pdf, copying to work, several search and replaces, copying to excel, updating times and points and printing back to pdf for display! So the results are now available and will shortly appear on bot...

Thanks for responding Dave - I'm a bit snowed under at the moment. I've sent div 2 results to Nick so they should appear when he has some time. I'm afraid there is a bit of a delay to publishing the finalised div 1 results due to a bug in slasoft that won't allow us to enter 2dp for second runs - w...

Is there anyone out there who has a solution to the following: We use slasoft to help with events, but with div 1 we need to enter results to 2 dp. We have done this for first runs, but second runs are proving difficult! However I set up the profile it won't accept more than 1 dp. I've even tried s...

Many thanks to everyone that turned up to compete or help this weekend and braved the wind and rain on Sunday.

FYI - I'm planning to go through and check all the results this week and am aiming to issue them by next weekend.
