Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

Sounds really good, thanks for adding this important capability. We won't have an event to use this on until June next year but I'd be happy to try it out from both a competitor and organiser point of view if you were able to provide me access to a dummy event.

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

100% Agree with you Dee, it is far too complicated, if we want to encourage people to step forward and organise events in the future everything possible must be done to simplify wherever possible.

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

Sorry for the delay in responding to this, the last few weeks have been a bit hectic with our event at Cardington followed by Interclubs. Here are my answers: Do most of your div 4s have bc numbers? – No, some do but most don’t, those that are not BC members tend to fall into the following groups: O...

Re: Cardington 2,3,4 Slalom September 2017

Provisional start lists are available at the links below. Entries on the day are very unlikely to be accepted, please do not travel without emailing first and receiving a positive response. For event updates search #VikingSlalom on Twitter. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vw6ulag05vcuwee/Start%20List%20-%...

Re: Cardington 2,3,4 Slalom September 2017

I've just updated the entry list and probably won't update it again now until I get back from Tully at the beginning of next week. There are a few places left both days and so if you still want to enter please send your entry (cards and late entry fees) to me ASAP. If you are going to be at Tully th...

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

We haven't put forward any ACM motions yet, need to get Cardington and Interclubs out of the way before that can be thought about. I really do understand about the number of hours it takes to do these developments and think what you have managed to fit in so far is very impressive.

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

I'm a strong supporter of adding Div 4 to the online entry system and think it is more important than MCDs. I'm really hoping we can get rid of MCDs, they just add complexity. With under 2 weeks to go before our second 2017 Cardington slalom I am again seeing around 70% of entries that are entitle t...

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

This sounds like a great step forward for using the online entry system at lower division events and will certainly make the decision to use it next year much easier. Thanks Dee for all the hard work.

Re: Cardington 2,3,4 Slalom September 2017

Entries received and processed so far can be found at the link below, I will try and keep this up to date as I process more entries but it may be a bit sporadic as I'm in Belgium this weekend with our Youth Polo team and Tully the following weekend. At the moment we still have space for more entries...

Re: Cardington 2,3,4 Slalom September 2017

Until I've processed everything I've received so far I really don't know, if June is anything to go by late entries might be OK but on the day are unlikely.

Cardington 2,3,4 Slalom September 2017

I’ve just returned from a few weeks holiday and could hardly get in the door for the pile of Cardington entries on the mat, perhaps this is yet another reason for moving to online entries next year. I’ll try and process all the entries over the coming days and post an entry list here by the middle o...

Re: 2018 Calendar

I'm extremely sorry if you found my post discourteous, it was definitely not meant to be. I added to the post that was already here as I felt it was information that would be valuable to all and thought that more efficient than lots of people emailing and hence requiring multiple answers to the same...

Re: 2018 Calendar

Viking also really need this information in order to submit our 2018 slaloms, our organising team have children who paddle in Div 1 and so will not be able to run a slalom at Cardington on a weekend where a Div 1 is also running. A clash with a Div 1 event is the main reason why we had to withdraw o...

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

Cardington Div4 entries were 8 double plus 11 Saturday and 10 Sunday. We let it be known before the event that it was full so this will have deterred attempts to enter but unfortunately we did also have to turn some away on the day, this was a tough decision but we were already up to our limit with ...

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

I'm not a fan of the "tell the organiser I'm coming" option. It wouldn't have worked at Cardington 2/3/4 earlier in the month. We were full both days, unfortunately those people from any division who had not submitted an entry and paid in advance missed out. I really would urge consideration to be g...
