This is all well and good for the current P/1 paddlers, but what about the girls who get promoted from div 2 later in the season. Only to be able to do 3 races in div 1 before having to go to Prem races seems pretty cruel! Would a better solution not be like in 5.17 P/1 Vets motion - dividing by 1.4 at Prem instead of 1.2?

That was looked at (if you want the speadsheets and calculations ask Kate as I think she will still have them) but the Prem standard girls didn't think it gave the desired results either.
If you look at the girls that were promoted this season though we all competed at Prem events and Div 1 events. Many of us competed at both before we were promoted as judges! While this is still a development division it is likely that girls will chose to either enter events that don't clash with their K1 so they don't double up or that clash so they get two events in one day. By the time there are girls that are specialising (other than Jackie and Anna) the division will be ready to be split so this wong be applicable.
