Can anyone answer this for me, unless it is a mistake on 2008 bibs on web site.
How can a premier C1 paddler apply for ranking status for 2008 when he competed in 7 out of 9 races in 2007 and gained 94 points (enough to get demoted from prem)?

I think you may be mistaken, the c1 paddler with 94 points has not been granted ranking status, he just wasn't demoted as there would appear not to be any demotions from prem to div 1 in c1.

in the minutes following the agm 100 points was decided as the threshold to remain in prem...

Why does he appear after the RSCs?

We will probably never find out, I asked a similar question about the end of season promotions which according to the 2007 yearbook don't exist and never got an answer ??? ???

Nicky, Good question as both of the RSC scored less points than 94...........however, does it really matter??

Kazz, if you have a specific question of a member of the Slalom Committee, your best course of action would be to give them a call, the numbers are in the book, that is what they are there for.

Looking at the DIV 1 C1 ranking list it looks like there was going to be a demotion from Prem as there is no bib 1.
