The rapids at Symonds Yat were purchased by canoeists for canoeists in order to maintain the rapids which were at risk of being lost for good. In order to ensure the site is sustainably managed the following management plan has been drawn up. This still a draft document and comments are welcomed up until 18th May 2010.

Please follow the link http://www.yatrapids.co.uk/ to find out about the plan and then either e-mail your comments to the address given or post them here and I'll pick them up and take them to the next meeting.

Having had this up on a few other websites already with mixed responses you may also want to look the link http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/foru ... =3&t=63606
where we've answered some of the questions that have been raised. Please also remember this is only draft 1 but since the rapids are owned by paddlers for paddlers I'm trying to get some constructive feedback before the next meeting where it gets discussed again.

Thanks

Alison
