Ranking Database 2014

Hi All,

If you check the canoe slalom website you will find the 2014 ranking database is up.

You will find it much the same as last year, all fit and ready to go for the start of the new season.

Please check to see your details are correct and that all your bibs are linked together. If they are not the most likely reason is your name is spelt incorrectly or it is spelt in different ways on different bibs.

Your age will be based on your year of birth if known, so if it is shown incorrectly our record of your YOB may be wrong.

If you are a master and do/not wish to be included in the Masters rankings just let us know. Check the masters league to see if your listing is correct.

If you find an issue please let Nick know and he can get it sorted for the start of the season which means less to do during the season and results from races should load quickly and without lots of extra work.

Simply slalom now uses the bib list from the ranking database. Organisers simply click on a button within SS to update the bib list as and when required saving a lot of typing of details from entry cards and errors when entering competitors.

Where it was possible to match your details with last year you will find your 2013 results show up so you can track your results accross years now as well as divisions (promotions/demotions).

Hi Duncan,

It would be good if Bib Officers could make simple updates such as First Claim Club rather than having to email everything to Nick.

I started development on a back end system for ranking/bib officers this week which will allow maintenance via a secure web site.

Should be available shortly.

May I echo Peter C's comment. Having this last year was a real boon; and it looks even better this year.
