Online Entries:What does this mean for paddlers?

Post by Slapdash Sal » Mon Jan 02, 2017 6:30 pm

Hi,
Can someone explain what the online entry system will mean for paddlers?
Will we still be able to send cheques as an alternative?
Thanks.

Yes

Under the current rules traditional forms of entry (ie cheques and cards) must be treated equally with online entries.

For organisers I believe online is definitely easier.

For many paddlers online will also be easier (not everyone has a chequebook these days), but for those that are more comfortable with sending cheques they have every right to do so and be treated equally. Note however that an organiser can reject an entry for which the cheque is invalid so you have to make sure that you have written it correctly.

A limited number of competitions are going to offer online entry this year, so we will see how it goes :)

PS. I'd be interested to know why you would rather not enter on line?

Not in any way criticising your right to choose, but would like to understand.
