Has anyone had the error message “unable to process imported file”

The file has some incorrect data in one or more fields. Please re-export the Simply Slalom file from slalomentriesonline.

I’ve tried that and it’s not worked. Any ideas of a work around?

I suspect it is our use of the “Sponsor” field -as I can export our last year sept event into the new Simply Slalom, which didn’t use it.

Have you got the most recent version of simply slalom?

Not sure - The one that come on the laptop I’ve been given is 19.0.7.0.xls it’s definitely the 2029 version (as it’s a bit different).

Are we talking about Scottish Schools?

The use of the sponsor field should not make a difference but I know that some older versions of SS had some issues with scratch C2s.

Ha ha!! 2019. Yup Scottish schools! Maybe it’s scratch C2s - we have plenty of those - will it work if I change them to guests??

No, will probably just break something else.

I think you need a later version of simply slalom

Just looked and I can’t change them, but can delete them and put them on as postal entries (will still be quicker than doing the whole thing manually!)

Stupid question - how do I get the newer version of Simply slalom (it just comes loaded on the laptop that gets passed on)?

PS - thanks for helping me out - you might be able to sense the mildly building stress levels

Hold off for a mo, if you can.

Might be quicker to get the updated version of Simply Slalom.

In any case, using an out of date version means that you may get errors in points calcs
