ACM Discussion Point 1

Season Length (Dave Spencer)
The slalom season is continuously extending. In 2020 it is planned to start in February and end in
November. Is this a good thing for the sport.
This may include a discussion of managing the Calendar, relating to the number of the races in each division
in a period, the number of races at a single venue
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.
Old. Fat. Slow. Bad tempered. And those are my good points

Long term perhaps we need to start thinking about more regional races, is travelling hundreds of miles for a race sustainable both in terms of cost and the environment. I certainly think it causes an issue with take up of the sport and retention.

Personally I have tried to do too much this year, I think I will need to consciously shorten my season, or at least cram fewer races in next year irrespective of how the calendar is organised. I don't know how, I enjoy it too much!
