Vets Bibs

Post by davieq » Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:29 pm

Just a general enquiry about Vets Bibs. I sent for miine around 3 weeks ago, but have not received it yet. I know I had correct postage and address, does anyone know if there is problem. I know bib officers are busy and volunteers but there is no way to contact Mike Carter other than by writing. Any comments appreciated.

Thanks

Davie

I sent off for a bib at the beginning of the month.
Having not heard anything after 3 weeks I phoned Mike last Friday, and got his answering machine. I left a message. So far I have not received a reply.

I am hoping Mike is away, and nothing has happened to him.

Ah, not just me then. I was wondering if mine had been lost in the post, I'm sure Mike has it all in hand.

I'll drop Nick and Patrick from Viking a message just to see if anyone has heard from him, and if anyone can make sure he's ok.

Paul.

Just further to the above Patrick and Nick have both replied to say Mike has been around at club nights so is ok!

I'm sure he'll get the bibs sorted, and it's not the end of the world if not, we'll be able to sort something out for the early races.

Obviously it's becoming harder work now there are a lot more of us...

Paul.

Hopefully he is just saving the up to do as a batch in time for Lee Valley.

If you don’t receive bib in time though, please bring proof of national association membership with you or you won’t be allowed to race!

I spoke to Mike the other day. He is issuing bibs but quite a few were not returned last year and he's waiting for replacements, so yours might be one of those.

Just spoken to Mike Carter. I will be picking up my vets bib from him in the next week or so.
I’ll be at HPP on 21-Mar so can bring bibs up with me. Please send paperwork to Mike before then if you want me to bring yours.
I’m also at Lee Valley 9,15,16-Feb

Hi Nick.

A very kind offer but with several races on the calendar before the HPP race you refer to I suspect that many of us will need our Bibs before that date.

Cheers for thinking of everyone though.

I saw Mike last night.
He told me that he has sent out all the bibs that have been applied for.
