Would any of the Scottish paddlers heading to the British Open be willing to drop a boat down to Keith Bright.
The down side is that it is a plastic c1 playboat, the upside is that I would make a contribution to your petrol costs as well as being able to drop the boat off on any of the main routes south at any point on Friday.
