Well ours aren't an exact art - we measure them from the other ones we have around that we bought as 70 degree - hope they are right!!!
Anyone else any ideas?:p

Mine are at about 45 degree's, don't know exactly. I do it by eye when I set up a new set of paddles. As for the current thinking, there isn't really any, its just personal preference.

I have mine at 55. Limits the turning you have to do with ure wrist on a top hand, and for rudders.
