Looking for a new boat for a small junior paddler. Anyone tried any they think are worth looking at, or comments on track and turning speed?

The Double Dutch Scimitar 65 is a good boat for a junior paddler depending on size & paddler weight, good speed and turning works well on flat and white water.

Caiman also have a small boat I believe that would be suitable best to check out the websites and ask the distributors for their suggestions. Caiman

I can arrange a test for you with the full range of caiman boats, just let me know of where you are going to be and we will try to sort something out.info@caiman.org.uk

My little brother tried a nomad energizer. He is 10, it is quick turning and good for small paddlers. :)

HPP canoe club have a small scimitar which I am sure they would allow you to try.

There is also a small Energy 350 demo boat at HPP in the boat shed and a Slingshot 353 which is a little bit bigger.

Hope this helps

I'd recommend the Cadetto - it's very stable and nice to paddle. The Slingshot is also pretty stable. The Scimitar is too edgy for my liking.

Funny how things turn out - I logged on tonite to ask the very same question. I've got 2 weenies that are paddling in Dagger Dynamo's at the mo but desperate to get into slalom boats. Thanks for all ur input everyone.
