Enjoyed the Nene event, although I wish the course had more width and depth. Who managed to nail gate 7 (odd upstream below the main drop) today? I didn't. No matter, slalom is *SO* much more fun when it's sunny, now I remember why I'm into this sport.

Nice to meet you Colin, always good to put faces to names. I should socialise more, but it's not really in my nature!

Nice Saxo - did that belong to a BBS member?

Who was playing Yes at midnight? The album that came off was 10 years old when I bought it back in '84. I was expecting drum 'n bass from a yoof BBQ, not prog rock!

Cheers,

Steve

Steve,

you must be getting old - we met at Ironbridge. . . er . . .um well quite a long while ago, several years ??? . OK so I did not recognise you on the water. . . Suppose I must have been concentrating a bit. Sorry, will try to chat more next time.

Congratulations to Bern Cole - 27 years in Div 2 and now promoted to Div 1! :D: Just shows that oldies can be Goldies. After all two of the top 4 Div 2 men were over 45 on both days -in fact they were first and 2nd (Joint) on Sunday.

Well I suppose it is now 'Hey ho to Cardingtion we go.' . . . and hope for Sun again.

PS Steve, any way we can change our pseudo nyms (like take out the capital A in PAddler - my tryping got the better of me!
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.
Old. Fat. Slow. Bad tempered. And those are my good points
