Just for those people who have a bad day at the office on the Saturday and would probably go home and kick the cat, its
planned to run a fun, short boat, Slalom Sprint after the final on the Sunday. The organisers are happy for this to go ahead.

Entry will be £2 on the day, all proceeds from this will go to charity.

Initial thoughts would be Heart research or Childrens cancer, any one got any preference or other ideas, please let us know.

Rough details are as follows:

Start will be above the bridge.
Finish will be as per the international event.
No gates as such, just single poles which you must go round.
Neil Buckley will set the course and you will have to go into stoppers.
2 runs, fastest to count. Finalists will get one run if they want to join in.
30 sec gap between paddlers.

Only criteria, you must use a short boat.

Double Dutch, Nomad and Vajda will provide demo boats for use by those who havn't got a short boat.

Hopefully we can get some music, maybe Etienne commentating in his calm unbiased manner which we all love.

There will be prizes based on results and prizes for best entertainment.

Hopefully a raffle for charity, any donations from shops etc will be gratefully accepted.

So come along and watch the final, bring your kit and your wallet, paddle a short boat and hopefully go home with a big smile and some prizes.
