Camping at Tully - Do we need to book a pitch?

Last year you had to pre book a pitch to camp at Tully Old Station Yard. Does anyone know if that is the case this year, or is it back to free-for-all camp where you like? (I prefer the later!)

I don't know if it is compulsory but I have booked in my tent. Just sent an email and they said that I was booked it, so I guess it is better safe than sorry.

Hmm......the SCA campsite management message was much stronger on pre-booking, tent pitch sizes and the distance between them last year. Despite/because of this, there were only two tents (for one party) in the whole upper field that weekend. However, see the current safety rules on the SCA Grandtully website.....the form on this page appears as a registration form (all users are required to register) rather than one for booking, but you never know.....

It's certainly the case, as stated on the slalom website and in the SCA Grandtully campsite page, that caravans and campervans are going to be restricted - this has been on for a while. Again, as noted on the website page, the track to the upper field is rough - I'd also suggest that for caravans in particular, especially larger ones, there could be a real issue with the entrance to the field from the track. ???

Emailed the campsite, tents do not need to pre-book. First come first served

tents can use the top field as well but dont forget to pack waterproofs and wellies as its going to be a wet one
