I just wanted to say a big thank you to Dave Waine and all the other people who arranged the Open Slalom at Shepperton last Saturday. I thought that it was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed it, despite (or maybe because of) the lack of water. The set course made the most of what there was and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the way it was judged worked really well and was of great benefit, with feedback that was very helpful.
