Hexham Slalom Location?

The google maps directions from the on-line calendar place this event in Hexham. However, the map reference in the yearbook is for Wark, around 15 miles from Hexham. Is this a new site, for example using Hexham Weir, or is this a re-naming of Wark slalom?
Either way, I'll see you there!
Jerry.

Map reference in year book vs lat and long used to locate on google.

This is probably a mismatch of data on the calendar system vs calendar application system.

If someone can give us the right data we can fix (although if yearbook wrong then it won’t be reprinted, but would be fixed for next year!)

I haven't got a Yearbook to hand (it would be really useful if organisers were sent a copy), but I can confirm that the Google map location in the Slalom Entries system is incorrect - I had already added some text about the venue, including the correct postcode. The OS map reference is Map 87 Ref NY863769.

Many thanks for the clarification, Mike!
The text you've added to the system since I entered makes it clear that the event is at Wark.
See you in March.
Jerry.

There are two sites on the calendar database. One is called Hexham, the other is called Wark. I think what the above means is that the (MARCH) race is at Wark, not Hexham, and I've edited the online calendar accordingly. Better tell me if that's wrong.

But if you set up an application for a "Hexham" race, what's in the Yearbook is what you get.

Better check the September race, too, because the says "Wark" but shows the Hexham postcode in the Yearbook.

I suspect the confusion is that Hexham CC run the races at Wark.

I'm sure there used to be some gates at Hexham between Tyne green and the island (main river is too wide), but it is very flat and would only suit div 4 and maybe 3. I'm thinking of early-90's, I wouldn't have paid them much attention back then.
