Matlock Slalom Postponed

Matlock Slalom Postponed
The recent floods completely destroyed all the lines, gates and flood lights at Matlock. We have to date been able to clear the majority of the debris left as a result of the floods and the cable along the roadside of the course. We have also been successful in applying for a flood relief grant from Sport England to re cable the course and replace all the training gates, as well as our electrics and flood lights.
Unfortunately this has coincided with major engineering work being undertaken by network rail who are using the derelict Colour Works as a base. As a result, it means that we are currently unable to access the site until their work is completed. Unfortunately due to technical difficulties this work is running a month behind schedule and is not anticipated to be complete before the end of March. Making it impossible for us to guarantee being able to rebuild the course in time for the slalom. It is therefore with regret that we have taken the decision to postpone our slalom until we can fully reinstate the course.
