I have to say that after reading all the stuff on the boards about supposed foul play at selection i have to inform all of you that it does not matter, it's an irrelevance as the end of the world is due to take place on monday 20 june 2005 at 3.17pm. Oh no, 3:17 pm in which time zone?

Silly me, there are only 2, GMT and BST as 'Johnny Foreigner' does not count :D

the four dark horsemen of the apocalypse have just released a public statement apologising to those who have been disappointed by the end of the world failing to materialise on monday. At a secret meeting last week the committee of the four horsemen, reponsibile for wreaking death and destruction on mankind took the decision to postpone the end of the world till after the G8 summit at gleneagles. Apparently Famine isn't up to the job at the moment as he's been singed off sick by his doctor due to work related stress, brought about by the demands of his job that Adfrica is currently pacing on him.

Really? I'd heard that is was due to 3 of the 4 horses having had the wrong shoes supplied, meaning they couldn't gallop at full speed safely. After an argument with Mr Death they turned off into the stables instead of going to the Apocalypse.

I had heard another reason for the delay and that was that the 4 horseman were out on the 20th having a beer with the grim reaper. Whilst enjoying a grolsch they decided (just as with the grolsch brewing process) they shouldn't rush into their apocalyptic quest and were perhaps being a bit hasty. Then the next night they had quite a few more pints unfortunately it was Stella act a ****. Following their session they all argued and had a fight over who had the fastest horse. The outcome is they are no longer friends and without their combined strengths the end of the world is no longer a worry.
Hope this allays any fears anyone has following the scaremongering of the misinformed individual who started this thread.

steve, are you trying to say that health and safety have put an end to the activities of the four horsemen?

Sounds to me like they just wimped out.
I guess they would have got a lot of complaints from the public.
Plus if you can't go full speed safely when trying to destroy the world... um ...
Well I'm sure they had good reasons ... maybe they were suffering lots from hay fever.

NAh, you've got it all wrong. Truth of the matter is that world leaders, aware of the threat to humanity of the four horsemen decided to take the only course of action that was available to them in such dire circumstances and hired inspector Harry Callaghan to go in and sort them all out
